Silk inspires new show

A new exhibition by  artist Ann Bridges will start the season’s opening at Plas Newydd, Llangollen.

Starting on 1 April, Ann’s “Spinning a Yarn” exhibition is based on the life-cycle of the silkworm.  The paintings and prints will be on display in Y Caban in the grounds of Plas Newydd daily from 10 am to 4.30 pm until April 29th.

In addition, Ann will be leading an art workshop for all the family at Y Caban on April 10th.  To book, please phone 01824 703991.

This is the first of seven major exhibitions at the property this year, ranging from environmental and knitting art to historic hats and a celebration of Denbighshire’s historic landscapes.

The house and grounds are open to the public daily from 10 am to 5 pm until 31st October.  Entry to the house is £5.50 adults, £4.50 concessions and £16 per family.  Entry to the gardens and tea rooms is free.
