Inspiration to write will be on the agenda at Skewen library on Thursday (November 4th 6.30pm) when it plays host to two local authors.
Zillah Bethell and Clare Dudman will be at the library as part of Neath Port Talbot Council’s ‘Meet the Author’ programme of events.
Zillah and Clare will talk about their latest books, writing, research and history. They will also offer an insight to aspiring writers into getting work published and writing a novel.
This is the 100th author event to be staged in Neath Port Talbot.
They were first introduced into Neath Port Talbot libraries six years ago and are still proving to be hugely popular with adults and children alike.
Zillah’s new book ‘Les Temps de Cerises’ and Clare’s ‘A Place of Meadows and Tall Trees’, both published by Seren, will be a topic for discussion on the night.
Zillah’s book is centred around France in the 19th century and Clare’s explores the early Welsh settlers in Patagonia.
Council Leader, Ali Thomas, said, “The library service is working hard to bring culture and education into communities.
“They are proud to be featuring two well known and successful writers at Skewen library.
“It will be inspiring for people to meet socially and learn how to start writing and how to get work published.”
