Smart solutions for tough times – free business presentations; workshops and seminars

Businesses across the region are being invited to attend a series of free presentations, workshops, seminars and networking opportunities, all aimed at advising companies on how to get the most out of their business during the continued economic downturn.

The Business Development Team at Flintshire County Council has organised a two day ‘Smart solutions for tough times’ event on 21 and 22 February. The venue on Tuesday 21 February is the Days Hotel in Queensferry, where topics include ‘Access to potential export/ import markets’ and the chance to hear about funding opportunities available from EU programmes and the Welsh Government. Speakers include Carl Williams from accountants Grant Thornton and Jo Clancy from specialist learning company Clancy Connection Ltd, who will be giving a presentation on developing peak performance through mental toughness.

On day two, Wednesday 22 February, the venue will be Deeside Enterprise Centre, on Rowleys Drive in Shotton. Accessing various funding opportunities, a presentation on the introduction of compulsory contributions to pensions, and a session from health and safety advisors Setter and Associates on effectively leading by example, are among the topics to be discussed. The day will finish with an hour of business clinics – appointments must be booked in advance.
