Wrexham County Borough Council’s Sports Development team are holding a Splash, Crackle and Flop festival at Chirk Leisure Centre. The event takes place on Wednesday 1st December and is aimed at children from the Wrexham County Borough with physical, sensory or learning disabilities.
Swimmers will take part in a range of aquatic activities, get the opportunity to meet a Paralympic swimmer and be encouraged to take part in future aquatic activities.
‘Splash, Crackle and Flop’ is a partnership venture between Swim Wales and Wrexham Sports Development Team with support from long term sponsor Kellogg’s.
The Mayor of Wrexham, Cllr Jim Kelly KSG will be in attendance and swim professionals will be on hand to offer constructive help and advice.
Cllr Bob Dutton OBE, Deputy Leader for the Council and Lead Member for Communities and Performance said:
“Splash, Crackle and Flop demonstrates Wrexham County Borough Council’s continued commitment to ensuring everybody in Wrexham has the opportunity to learn how to swim. I am particularly encouraged by the breadth of swimming talent we have in the area”.
The event starts at 11am and is free to all.
