St David’s lifeboat station raises over £1,000 for the RNLI

St David’s RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager Captain James Wilcox and his wife Mary sponsored a Chicken and Chips evening at St David’s RFC clubhouse on last Friday (25 September), raising over £1,000 for the RNLI.

The event was organised by James and Mary together with members of the lifeboat crew who helped in selling tickets for the evening.

The meal, which was served with a pudding, was prepared by Mary and she was assisted by Muriel Barton, Sheila Tobin, Rita Howells, Julie Rogers, Jackie Davies and Pat Thomas.

The evening was a total success and thanks are extended to raffle prize contributors, in particular to Thousands Islands Expeditions who donated a pleasure trip, which raised £120 in an auction.

Special thanks also to St David’s Rugby Club for the use of their clubhouse and facilities.
