Work is due to commence on the A483 Trunk Road leading from the Cheshire boundary through to Junction 1 at Ruabon Interchange commencing Sunday 3rd July 2011. The annual maintenance activities which involve grass cutting, weedsraying and cleansing operations will commence at 7.00pm each evening from Sunday to Thursday with the intention of completion prior to 12 midnight over a 3 week period.
Councillor David Bithell Lead Member for Environment and Transport said Wrexham council carry out this work on behalf of the Welsh Government and will undertake these works during evening off peak traffic periods and incorporate maintenance repairs to minimize disruption. Cllr Bithell added, the works have been timed for completion prior to the National Eisteddfod event and the commencement of the Welsh Governments summer embargo on road works on the Trunk Road Network.
