A Swansea College student has won the British Colleges Surfing Championships in Cornwall.
Tom Perkins, who is taking an Engineering course at the Tycoch campus, was one of a group of students competing in the surfing and body boarding competitions – hosted by Cornwall College – near St Ives.
“Tom did amazingly well to beat 15 other surfers, including some who were competing on their local beach,” says Swansea College Enrichment Manager Rob Baynham. “Special mention must also go to students Lewis Tucker and Jack Banks, who competed in the body boarding event.”
