Support Anglesey’s Caring Tree Appeal

AngleseyThe Isle of Anglesey County Council needs your support once again this year to ensure all our children have a happy Christmas.

Last year’s Caring Tree Appeal saw hundreds of toys, books, games and other gifts kindly donated by the people and businesses of Anglesey.

The County Council would like to see this success repeated in 2009. The Caring Tree Appeal is being backed by County Council Chairman, Councillor O Glyn Jones.

Cllr Jones said, “Unfortunately, there are children and young people on Anglesey who aren’t as fortunate as most when it comes to opening presents on Christmas Day.”

“This appeal gives us an opportunity to donate a gift, suitable for a young child or teenager, which will make a big difference to their Christmas.”

Gifts should be brought to the County Council by no later than Tuesday, December 22nd as Social Services staff need a few days to take them to deserving homes in time for Christmas Day.

The Isle of Anglesey County Council’s Caring Tree Appeal was first launched in 2002.

Unwrapped gifts can be left at your local library, the JE O’Toole Centre in Holyhead or Social Services reception at the Council Offices in Llangefni. Please contact (01248) 752710 for more information.
