Tenovus all Wales cancer service expands into North Wales

Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has given his support to Tenovus’ all Wales cancer service expansion into North Wales.

Tenovus, Wales’ leading cancer charity, is expanding its cancer support services right across Wales, supporting patients, families and carers in every community. Tenovus’ specialist Cancer Support Team can help anyone affected by cancer, whether a patient, partner, family member or friend. They offer practical advice, information and support on any issue relating to cancer, ranging from welfare rights advice to counselling.

Commenting on the news, Clwyd West AM and Shadow Health Minister Darren Millar said:

“I’m delighted to support Tenovus’ expansion into North Wales which is welcome news.

“Charities like Tenovus have a valuable role in supporting the NHS as well as providing valuable practical and emotional support to help people and their families living with and after cancer.

“I understand that the number of patients and families supported through Tenovus’ services over the last year has increased by 60%. I expect this figure to increase even further with their expansion to a pan Wales service.”
