Tuesday 28th June at 7.30pm will see the Miracle Theatre Company present an open air performance of The Death of Sherlock Holmes in the magnificent, majestic setting of Caerphilly Castle.

It’s a dangerous time for Sherlock Holmes: preparing for his final battle with the criminal mastermind Moriarty, he stumbles on a most ingenious crime.

Investigating a trail of rare botanical specimens and paranormal activities, Holmes is led from Baker St, via a suburban séance to the Swiss Alps, where his powers of deduction are stretched to the limit.

Discovering his own life is in danger, he is forced to enlist the help of Dr Watson and call on voices from beyond the grave to crack his ultimate case.

The Death of Sherlock Holmes stirs up all the ingredients of this brand new mystery, with a large measure of comedy, to bring audiences of all ages a period thriller with a sting in its tail!

Don’t forget… bring your own rugs and picnic blankets, as well as all-weather gear in the likelihood of rain, or more optimistically, don’t forget your sunscreen!

The performance will go ahead regardless of the weather.

Tickets for The Death of Sherlock Holmes cost £12 each, or £10 for concessions.

Delicious picnics are also available to purchase prior to the event. Picnics serve two people, cost £14.50 and include a wide selection of tantalizing treats, together with your choice of red, white or rose wine.
