WE NEED YOUR VOTE!
We are in the last 24 hours of the Chase Community Giving contest on Facebook and WE NEED YOUR HELP.
We knew when we took this on a month ago that it wouldnt be easy. Since that time we have had a small army of volunteeers up until the early hours of the morning exhorting people to vote, explaining the voting procedures etc. In all that time we have not dropped out of the top 200 for a single day The top charity will receive $250,00…that will not be us.
The next four will receive $50,00…we wont make that either. BUT the next 195 receive a grant of $20,000 and thats where we want to be. The money will be used to fly Welsh artists and musicians over to Portland for this years Left Coast Eisteddfod.
We have ambitious plans for the event and have already arranged a panel discussion with Welsh authors at the prestigious Wordstock Festival in Portland which coincides with the LCE this year. The Wordstock Festival (a NorthWest equivalent of the Hay-on-Wye Festival back home) will provide a shop-window for Welsh authors and publishers to engage a wider audience in the USA.
We also have plans for a major concert which will highlight the best of contemporary Welsh music at the Esiteddfod. If this funding is not secured some of these plans will go ahead and others will not. All it takes is a minute of your time to ensure that we are able to present Wales in the best possible light at this years event. PLEASE VOTE NOW and message your friends and ask them to do likewise.To a certain extent this is no longer about how mant artists and musicians we can fly across the pond.
It is also about whether or not Wales and the welsh American community can come together in support of a common objective. Whether or not we can engage in a major contest on a major platform and WIN! WITH YOUR HELP…WE CAN! PLEASE VOTE NOW!

If it gives you a window which asks you to “Like” the application, click the button to “Like” it.

If you’ve successfully voted, the green “Vote Now” button towards the top of the page will turn to a green “Share with friends” button and the vote counter will go up by one.
