Three arrested following incident in Colwyn Bay

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of robbery following an incident outside a Colwyn Bay bank this morning.

At around 10.44am today (Tuesday, March 8) police were alerted to an incident where the victim is believed to have had money taken from him by a man on the doorstep of the Nat West Bank on Abergele Road. The man then fled.

A man was arrested a short distance away on Egerton Road. Police also arrested another man in Rhos on Sea.

Shortly after the incident, a vehicle was seen leaving Colwyn Bay. Police officers from the Roads Policing Unit with the assistance of the North Wales Police helicopter located the vehicle on the A55 near Caerwys and the driver, a 35-year-old woman, was arrested.

A 36-year-old man, 41-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman have all been arrested on suspicion of robbery and are waiting questioning at St Asaph custody.

Response officers and Detectives from St Asaph attended the scene and inquiries are continuing.
