Trelawnyd V A primary school praised in Estyn report

Trelawnyd V A primary school has been praised in a recent Estyn report.

The school was applauded for the quality of care guidance and support for pupils and all are valued as individuals and fully included in activities.

The positive relationships that exist with parents, carers and learners is recognised as a strength of the school and good teaching was observed in all classes.

The pupils’ behaviour is very good and they are polite and responsive to all adults and visitors to the school. There is also a strong emphasis on decency, equality and good manners and teaching assistants and support staff are also recognised for playing their part.

The school is also praised for being aware of and faithful to its Christian Foundation and has a valuable place in the local community.

Jane Borthwick, Head teacher, said: “We are pleased to see that our school has been recognised as a happy and successful place for pupils to learn and would like to thank all members of our school community for their commitment. We will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the school this summer and hope to continue to improve on the good standards over the coming years.”
