Try out computer sessions

On Friday May 21st Briton Ferry Community Regeneration Group are holding free computer sessions for those who have never used a computer or wish to find out the many benefits of using one.

Community Development Officer Hilary Griffiths said “You will be able look into your family history with Ancestry.co.uk, how to keep you and your computer safe with an online safety DVD, digital photography and manipulation with a Photoshop and camera class and how to use Microsoft Office and produce your own CV. We will also be holding a free prize draw raffle, providing teas and coffees and can arrange childcare with prior request. ”

Neath Port Talbot Council Leader Ali Thomas said “Communities First at Neath Port Talbot have once again been able to help the community by providing these free excellent workshops encouraging residents of all ages and abilities to use a computer. We are living in a digital age and I welcome this excellent initiative from the team at Briton Ferry Community Regeneration Group in identifying the skills required by our community and providing access to them at an informal relaxed event”.

Morning Session 10.00am until 12.00pm at Cyberzone in the Communities First Offices at Llansawel Crescent, Briton Ferry.

Afternoon Session 1.00pm until 3.00pm at the Melin Technology Centre at the Communities First Offices in the Melin.
