UK award for Ceredigion’s Head of Street Works

Ceredigion County Council’s Head of Street Works, Ted Stanley-Knight, has been presented with an award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the United Kingdom Highways Authorities’ Joint Authority Group – JAG(UK).

Presenting the award to Ted Stanley-Knight on the 16 March 2010, the Leader of Ceredigion County Council, Councillor EJ Keith Evans, explained:”Ted Stanley-Knight has demonstrated outstanding knowledge and commitment to JAG(UK) through his work on legislation, regulations and codes of practice. Examples of the initiatives Ted has been involved in include advising on the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004. Ted has played a key role as Secretary to the Wales JAG, supporting colleagues throughout the country. His knowledge, work and commitment have greatly benefited colleagues within Highways Authorities throughout the UK.”

“I am absolutely delighted,” said Ted Stanley-Knight, “But I have to acknowledge the support of Ceredigion Highways Property and Works Department’s Management Team for having allowed me to participate in the different task and finish groups, working parties and highway authority committees.”
