Unexplained Death, Swansea: Police Appeal

South Wales Police in Swansea are continuing to investigate the unexplained death of a man who was found in a ground floor flat at Hanover Street on Saturday 1st May 2010.

Offices have confirmed the identity of the man as being 49 year old Paul Anthony Thomas.

It is believed that the deceased originates from the Llanelli area and moved to Swansea some years ago, where he lived at addresses in the city centre. He has been described as being a “loner” and a very private person.

Officers are trying to trace his last known movements and are appealing to anyone who knows him or has seen him since the beginning of March to come forward.

Police have released a photograph of Mr Thomas which was taken 2004 in an attempt to jog people’s memories.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Davies who is leading the investigation said

“From our extensive enquires we have established that the deceased is Paul Thomas, and we are now in the process of tracing his movements since the beginning of March.”

“Paul used to live in the Llanelli area and moved to Swansea a few years ago, he was a very much a private individual who kept himself to himself.

“I am appealing to anyone whether it be family friends or associates, who might have seen Paul during the early part of March to come forward”
