Vale of Clwyd school does its bit for charity

Denbighshire1A charity is £1,225 better off after youngsters at a Vale of Clwyd school raised the funds during recent events.

Ysgol Pant Pastynog, Prion raised the funds at its thanksgiving service, as well as an afternoon of sponsored skipping that was arranged by the school council. The funds will be presented to the Neuroscience Appeal at Walton Hospital in Liverpool.

Headteacher Mair Beech Williams, said: “As we are a small school with 47 full time pupils and nine nursery pupils, this is a significant amount of money to raise and we are extremely touched by the generosity of parents and friends of the school”.

Over £2,000 was also raised at the annual school fair in early November.
