Reassuring the public in Llanaelhaearn

Five people were arrested following the execution of search warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act at several homes in the village of Llanaelhaearn, near Pwlheli, on Tuesday November 23.

Inspector Mark Davies said that they had recovered a quantity of controlled drugs and production equipment for growing plants and five men had been bailed pending further inquiries.

He said: “The drugs operation was held following the concerns of local people. We have been asking the villagers what they want us to do, through Balance your Bobbies, and this was clearly an issue.

“We have therefore listened to the concerns and want to reassure the public that they will be acted upon and this will continue.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have any further information and ask them to please contact us and their information would be dealt with in the strictest confidence,” he said.

He urged people to either contact a member of the Neighbourhood Policing Team or call North Wales Police on 101 (if in Wales)or 0845 6071001 (Welsh) 0845 6071002 (English) alternatively text 66767 or Crimestoppers Wales/Cymru on 0800555111.
