Waste plan road show comes to the Vale

vale of glamorgan councilProsiect Gwyrdd is to host two information road shows in the Vale to inform the public of the project’s aims.

The partnership, which is made up of five south Wales councils – the Vale of Glamorgan, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Newport and Monmouthshire, is working to find a long term solution to ‘residual’ waste – the waste that cannot be recycled or composted.

The road shows will be held in each council area to introduce the aims and possible options that may be available to treat residual waste, after recycling and composting has been maximised in each area.

The first road show to be held in the Vale will be on Tuesday, December 8 at the Town Hall car park in Cowbridge, between 10am and 4pm; with the second road show taking place on Saturday, January 30 at King Square, Barry between 10am and 4pm.

Information boards will be displayed for the public to view with experienced staff on hand to answer questions from the public.
