Welsh Conservatives to host UK Conference

Welsh Conservatives today welcomed news that the Conservative Party’s Spring Forum will be held at the Welsh Conservative Party Conference in Cardiff in March.

Nick Bourne AM, Leader of the Welsh Conservatives in the National Assembly, said: “I am delighted that Cardiff will be hosting this major event, which will be another opportunity to showcase what Wales has to offer to a national audience.

“Hosting this national event in Wales just weeks before the Assembly poll shows how seriously we are taking these elections.

“We look forward to showcasing our key policies of protecting the NHS budget, cutting business rates for small businesses and improving educational standards to a wider audience.

“Welsh Conservatives have enjoyed a revival in recent years; increasing our support and representation at European, parliamentary, Assembly and local levels.  We are now widely seen as the main challengers to Labour and relish the chance to advocate an alternative to the tired and failing Labour-led Assembly Government.

“We look forward to giving this national event a distinctly Welsh flavour.”
