Welsh taste at top food show

Several Welsh companies will be exhibiting under the Welsh Assembly Government’s True Taste banner, and for the first time there will also be a sushi style conveyor belt show casing some dishes drawn from the producers exhibiting at the Expo.

Cooking demonstrations will also take place on the Welsh Assembly Government stand involving Colin Gray and Nick Davies, chefs with years of experience who are also members of the Welsh National Culinary Team.

Wynfford James, Welsh Assembly Government’s Food, Fisheries and Market Development Director, explains:

“The Expo is one of the UK’s most important and exciting trade shows for sourcing the latest and most innovative food and drink products and services from around the world.

“This bi-annual event attracts leading buyers from the food service, retail, wholesale and manufacturing industries and is an important showcase for Welsh producers.”

The companies flying the flag at the Food & Drink Expo is Clarks UK, Easibake Foods Group, Princes Gate Spring Water, PV France, Fruitapeel, Plas Farm Ltd, Vin Sullivan Foods, Otley Brewing Company, Halen Môn – The Anglesey Sea Salt Company, Trioni Ltd and Carmarthenshire County Council.
