World Famous Red Arrows set to return to Rhyl

Denbighshire County Council is delighted to announce the return of the world famous Red Arrows to their display programme for Rhyl’s annual air show which will take place on 21 and 22 July, 2012.

The air show is fast becoming North Wales’s biggest FREE seafront event and the 2012 show will feature spectacular aerial displays and land-based attractions and entertainment.

In previous years the air show has attracted huge crowds who have been thrilled by the appearance of the world famous Royal Air Force Red Arrows, and Falcons Parachute Display Team.

Event organiser, Sian Davies, said: “An estimated audience of over 100,000 were enthralled by the two day event last year. Rhyl Promenade has a superb crowd line and it was a pure joy to see tens of thousands of people enjoying a great weekend.

“It also gives me great pleasure to announce that this years nominated charity will be The Royal Air Force Association.”

The RAF Association’s Rhyl Branch Chairman, Vernon Thomas, said:

“We are delighted to be able to support the air show and are really looking forward to the Summer event.

“It should be a great day out for the whole family and we are particularly pleased to have the opportunity to work so closely with Denbighshire County Council.”

The RAF Association provides help and support for past and present members of the RAF and their families. For further information, please visit the charity’s website at www.rafa.org.uk.
