Wrexham County Borough Council brings family fun to Wrexham to celebrate National Family Week

National Family Week, the UK’s biggest celebration of family life, is kicking off the summer half term holidays between 31st May and 6th June with over 5000 family-friendly events and activities taking place across the country.

Wrexham County Borough Council is proud to be part of this great family initiative and to promote positive family life in our own backyard. From 31st May to 6th June, Wrexham Council will be running its own events for families in support of National Family Week. Gather all your family and friends and join us for some family fun!

This special week of celebration focuses on families spending more quality time together so Wrexham would like to invite families from all over the UK to join us and do just that!

Events will be taking place at Waterworld, Chirk and Plas Madoc Leisure & Activity Centres as well as Queensway Stadium and will give people the chance to try out new and exciting activities including; Snorkelling, SeaDoo’s, Walter Walking, Fitness Gym Sessions and lot’s lot’s more. So join us for some family fun and make your family a part of National Family Week.

“National Family Week will give people the chance to try something new and give families to chance to spend time together while being active. It has something for everyone and gives people a taste of what Wrexham Council leisure centres have to offer families. And Wrexham County Borough Council staff will do their best to ensure you have a great time!”

The average family spends just 45 minutes a day together according to a poll commissioned by National Family Week last year. National Family Week, Wrexham County Borough Council are encouraging families to improve on this, providing a range of events, competitions, special offers and other activities aimed at bringing families together. The Week is backed by all major political parties and represents the largest coalition on family issues in the UK with over 180 national and thousands of local organisations on board.
