A food business in Wrexham’s Butchers Market has been praised by the town’s MP.
Wrexham MP Ian Lucas visited Pickles and Spice, run by Brigid Killen, to find out more about the recently-established business. The stall provides a range of pickles, spices, condiments and other kinds of artisanal food products.
He said: “Pickles and Spice is a great little business and it’s just the kind of thing we should be encouraging here in Wrexham.
“Wrexham has a great deal of very good local produce and there is a growing interest in food related shopping.
“Food fairs, such as the one held by Nightingale House recently, have grown sharply in popularity and there is certainly a market out there for small businesses to tap into. We have great breweries, butchers, bakers and food makers here locally and we should celebrate them.
“That’s why I was so pleased to see another business like Pickles and Spice set out its stall – quite literally – in Wrexham.”
