Wrexham Youth Choir Celebrate their First Anniversary

Lesley_GriffithsAssembly Member for Wrexham Lesley Griffiths has congratulated a local youth choir as members celebrate their first birthday (16th October).

Since the first rehearsal, Dragonsong has moved from strength to strength, performing at a number for venues across the Wrexham area including the William Aston Hall and Central Station.

Local AM Lesley Griffiths has supported the choir from their beginning, attending their very first performance and as part of the birthday celebrations, has been invited to become an honorary Vice President.

Dragonsong is an exciting, modern, choir for 11-18 year olds and rehearsals take place every Tuesday. No auditions are necessary as it is all about taking part, having fun and enjoying singing.

Wrexham AM Ms Griffiths commented:

“Dragonsong is a vibrant and exciting local youth choir and I am delighted to become their honorary Vice President.”

“There has always been a strong musical tradition in the region and Dragonsong has provided Wrexham’s younger generation with the opportunity to enhance this reputation.”

“Everyone involved has work tirelessly and achieved so much in a short space of time. I trust next year will be just as successful and I will continue to support and promote Dragonsong and the efforts of its young members as best I can.”
