Clwyd West AM Darren Millar was treated to some healthy culinary delights when he visited an Abergele school this week.
A ‘Tasting Station’ has been set up at St Elfod Junior School enabling youngsters to sample a variety of healthy foods prepared by their classmates.
The children try the various dishes at the ‘Tasting Station’ and then take surveys. If the children like the food then it is incorporated onto the school lunch menu.
Darren said:
“The ‘Tasting Station’ has been a huge hit with the pupils and from my visit on Monday I am not surprised as the foods on offer were very impressive.
“It is good to see young people taking such a keen interest in eating healthily and I commend the staff at St Elfod for coming up with this fun way to engage them.”
