Anglesey Business week 19 – 23 September 2011

Anglesey Business Week takes place 19 – 23 September, and now’s the time to register for events and get ready to make the most of the advice and networking opportunities on offer.

This year’s packed programme includes 19 individual events, and the theme is securing jobs for the Island’s young people.

The week kicks off with a breakfast launch at Oriel Môn in Llangefni, which will highlight the Local Investment Fund scheme and the support available to businesses.

Other events taking place during the week include an event to encourage awareness of employment and self-employment opportunities by the Llwyddo’n Lleol programme, as well as specific seminars and networking opportunities for the farming, tourism and marine science sectors. The week also offers more general opportunities to gain information on business training, attend masterclasses and workshops and various networking events by Network She and the Federation of Small Businesses.

Anglesey Business Week will be rounded off with an Energy Island Programme all-day event at the new Coleg Menai Energy Centre in Llangefni, where the emphasis will be on positioning SMEs for Nuclear New Build.

Full details of this year’s programme and details of how to register can be found at www.anglesey.gov.uk/businessweek or by phoning Yvonne Owen on 01248 752484.

Councillor Bryan Owen, Leader of the Isle of Anglesey Council said, “This year’s Business Week is bigger and better than ever, with hopefully something to suit everyone. I hope you, like myself, will attend many events and look forward to hearing young people’s thoughts about their future in business during Anglesey Business Week 2011.”
