Appeal following attempt robbery

Detectives at Mold CID are appealing for witnesses and information following an attempted robbery on a 25-year-old woman on Sunday.

At around 7pm (Sunday, December 12) the victim was walking near the rear of the cricket pitch in Connah’s Quay when she was approached by a man who grabbed her and demanded that she hand over her bag. The victim refused and hit out at the offender who then fled.

The offender is believed to have made off towards the High Street in Connah’s Quay.

The offender is described as being of slim build and had an unkept appearance. He was wearing light grey coloured Adidas tracksuit bottoms, a black hooded top, dark coloured baseball cap and dirty Reebok trainers. He was possibly aged between late 20’s and early 30’s.

Officers attended the area and a search was conducted which proved negative.
