Calls for Welsh Government to better support private sector for job creation

Mohammad Asghar, National Assembly Member for South Wales East, has joined Welsh Conservative colleagues in urging the Welsh Government to facilitate the growth of the private sector to stimulate job creation.

Speaking in the Senedd on Wednesday, he said: “The Welsh Government needs to take serious and substantial action to help grow the Welsh private sector.

“Both the First Minister and Peter Hain admit that the private sector in Wales is too small.

“Sadly, these admissions come despite billions being spent on economic development, while Wales has also benefited from two rounds of EU funding”.

He added: “Clearly, the nation has suffered from Welsh Government’s spending ineffectively, neglecting business and regulating excessively”.
