Cardiff Business Technology Centre (CBTC) continues to provide opportunities for new businesses in Cardiff.
The incubation space located adjacent to Cardiff University has become a leader in providing business development advice and financial support to technology based companies in Cardiff.
The facility now boasts occupancy from 22 businesses which employ over 140 people.
Inhabitants at the site include Forensic Resources Ltd which is now a leader in the forensic analysis and expert witness industry.
Since joining CBTC the company has achieved several accreditation awards from the British Assessment Bureau which is recognised worldwide as the inclusive international standard that defines quality.
Keima Ltd also functions out of CBTC and supplies software engineering solutions to the wireless industry.
They are leading innovators in the wireless planning and optimisation field and the company’s software tools and services are in use at operations and consultancies worldwide.
Another successful business at the centre is Zipporah who provide an electronic bookings service to the public sector. The company works extensively with local authorities, providing them with a full back office booking system to help councils improve services to citizens, whilst at the same time making efficient savings.
Director of Zipporah, Emma Powell has been shortlisted in two categories for this year’s Welsh Women Mean Business Awards which recognise women who have shown extraordinary creativity, determination, dedication, courage and entrepreneurial skills.
