Eight women artists from across north Wales are exhibiting together in celebration of International Women’s Day 2012. The exhibition will be held from 3 February until 17 March 2012 at Pendeitsh Gallery in Caernarfon.
International Women’s Day, held annually on 8 March, is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. As part of the day, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate their achievements each year.
Delyth Gordon, Gwynedd Council’s Visual Art Officer said: “We are very pleased to host this group exhibition and support these artists in their celebration of this International Day. It’s good to see north Wales being linked to global events of this nature.”
