Christmas Decoration Dangers

Festive decorations have moved on from paper chains and homemade fairies.

Whilst they’ve been around for centuries, just visit any High Street and there’s a massive selection of decorations that are attractive to children and could be mistaken for toys.

Unfortunately, decorations are not covered by strict toy safety laws which should be a cause for concern as children under 36 months are at greatest risk from injury and it can be difficult to keep an eye on toddlers.

Lots of  decorations contain small parts that can be a choking hazard for young children, as well as eye catching baubles which they may be tempted to grab and pull.

Take away the worry this Christmas by checking warning labels before you buy, check decorations are suitable for your home and keep them out of harms reach.
