Concern grows for missing Shotton woman

North Wales Police are renewing their appeal to help trace a 60-year-old woman who has been reported missing from her home in Shotton.

Elaine Baskett was last seen by her husband at their home on Llewellyn Street at around 10am on Sunday, 17th January.

She is described as being white, 5’1″ tall with grey shoulder length straight hair. She was last seen wearing a red Burberry coat, a red fleece jacket, black trousers and grey walking boots.

In the past she has used her maiden name of Hughes to obtain employment in the Llandudno area.

Despite searches that have been carried out in the area involving the force helicopter, the Coastguard and Mountain Rescue, Mrs Baskett has not been seen or heard from.

Police are appealing to Mrs Baskett to make contact with them or her family to let them know she is safe and well.

Anyone who may have seen her or who may know of her whereabouts is asked to contact officers at Deeside Police Station on 101 if you are calling from Wales, or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line) or 0845 607 1002 (English line).
