Funds raised for special care baby unit

Contact Centre staff at Pembrokeshire County Council have raised £200 for Withybush Hospital’s special care baby unit as their way of saying ‘thank you’.

Several women who work in the contact centre have had babies over the last nine months, including Alison Ratcliffe, mother of Phoebe.

Nurses at the unit took great care of Phoebe, and staff at the contact centre wanted to give them a donation to show their appreciation.

They ran several ‘guess the weight of the baby’ competitions within the contact centre, raising £200 in total.

A cheque was presented to representatives of the special care baby unit (SCBU) on Wednesday.
