Future of NHS to be decided on May 5th, says Candidate

Chris O’Brien, Welsh Conservative candidate for Merthyr Tydfil & Rhymney, believes that the people of Wales face a huge decision regarding the future of the nation’s NHS on May 5th.

He was speaking whilst standing alongside the Welsh Conservatives Ad-van, which promotes the party’s pledge to protect Health spending in line with inflation.

Chris said: “The people of Wales must know that Labour & Plaid Cymru have approved £1billion of cuts to the Welsh NHS over the next three years.

“Welsh Conservatives are the only political party in Wales pledged to protect health spending in line with inflation.

“The people of Wales face a massive decision on May 5th about the future of the NHS.

“£1billion would pay for 33,000 nurses, 158,000 coronary bypass operations, or 125 dedicated stroke units.

“With some of the most troubling health outcomes in Europe, Wales cannot afford such a crippling cut”.
