Have your say on proposed new HGV advisory route

Denbighshire County Council is consulting on plans to introduce a new advisory route for heavy goods vehicles between St Asaph and Trefnant, in an effort to promote pedestrian safety on St Asaph High Street.

If the proposal goes ahead, traffic signs would be erected to direct heavy goods vehicles to use the B5381 Lower Denbigh Road, rather than the A525 Upper Denbigh Road, between St Asaph and Trefnant.

A public “drop-in session” has been arranged for Wednesday 28th October 2009, between 3pm and 6pm at Theatr Elwy in St Asaph. This will give members of the public the chance to discuss the proposal with Council staff and to view a plan of the route.

A further copy of the plan will be available at St Asaph library during week commencing 26th October 2009.

Should you be unable to attend the drop-in session, you can still provide your views on this matter by either sending an email to [email protected] or by writing to the Head of Highways and Infrastructure at Caledfryn, Smithfield Road, Denbigh LL16 3RJ.

Please give any letters or emails the subject “St Asaph HGV Route”. The closing date for correspondence on this matter will be Friday, 6th November 2009.
