Improving travel choices at Deeside Industrial Park

A number of transport events have been held at Deeside Industrial Park (DIP) to assist businesses with additional travel options for employees.

The events also saw the launch of leaflets for both the new Car Share Scheme and “How to get to Deeside Industrial Park” guide.

Several large businesses from DIP attended including Iceland, Henrob, Dailycer and Mainetti. The events were free and gave information to businesses on providing employees with additional transport options.

The Car Share Scheme is free to join and take part in. Benefits apply to both businesses and employees as the scheme reduces the number of cars accessing the industrial park, reducing carbon emissions, solving limited parking space problems and saving employees money. It automatically matches employees searching for a lift with employees offering a lift on the park who work similar hours and share the same journey preferences.

The “How to get to Deeside Industrial Park” guide gives details on all the available modes of sustainable transport accessing the park, such as buses, trains, shuttle services and the nearest cycling and pedestrian routes. The guide also includes an easy view map of all the zones on Deeside Industrial Park making navigating the park much easier for all visitors.
