Lampeter Student Wins MyWales Video Competition

Iwan Pitts, final year Media Production student, student has won himself a new laptop in the University of Wales My Wales Video Competition.

Iwan produced a three-minute video (see below) which impressed the judges with its witty, informative and hope-filled narrative.  The video takes viewers on a whistle-stop tour of Iwan’s life so far, from his time spent stacking shelves in Tesco through to his degree in Media Production at Lampeter.

Iwan’s winning video was streamed on to a large screen for the pleasure of guests at this year’s University of Wales graduation ceremony in St David’s Hall, Cardiff.

The MyWales Video Competition was open to students currently enrolled on a University of Wales award. Videos lasting no longer than three minutes were required to depict what being a University of Wales student meant to the entrant and why they enjoy being a part of the MyWales community. Videos were judged on their innovativeness and originality.
