New sports hall takes shape

Construction work on Pembrokeshire County Council’s £1.3 million sports hall and fitness suite at St Davids is well underway.

The facility will house a hall big enough to accommodate four badminton courts. There will also be a health and fitness suite with separate school & public changing areas. It will also have its own car park.

The building will be for both school and public use and will be open seven days a week.

It is being constructed by Cottons Limited which also built the leisure centres for Fishguard and Haverfordwest.

The Council has already provided a multi-use games area on the campus and last summer refurbished three tennis courts.

The new centre is due top open later in the summer.
