Police call Flint lifeboat after bridge worries

Flint RNLI lifeboat assistance was requested by North Wales Police yesterday afternoon when a person was seen acting suspiciously on the Flintshire Bridge.

Liverpool Coastguard called out the lifeboat at 4.45pm and the Flint crew were on the scene at 5pm, just as the person was being detained.

The lifeboat returned to station, pictured, and was ready for service again at 5.15pm.

Alan Forrester, RNLI volunteer Lifeboat Operations Manager, said: “We are only seven weeks into the year and this is our fifth call out already.”

Flint lifeboat station has been operating since 1966 and you can see a profile of the station at www.rnli.org.uk/flint.
