Porth Bus Stop Investment Project

The final phase of works to upgrade the main bus stops in Porth town centre, which will greatly improve facilities for passengers of public transport, is about to commence.

New high quality bus shelters, raised kerbs and improved information displays are being provided in the project, run by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council.

From November 1st 2010 until November 22nd 2010, the bus stop outside Porth Police Station will be taken out of use whilst work is carried out to upgrade the area. A temporary stop will be created a few metres away during this period.

Once the works have been completed, the bus stop will have a wider footway, a new high quality shelter, raised kerbs for easier access to buses and an improved information display for passengers to check the times of the buses.

Full details of the services using the new bus stops in Porth are available from the Traveline enquiry service on 0871 200 22 33 or www.traveline.inf
