Recycling and refuse collections throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf will be cancelled tomorrow (Monday November 29) due to the inclement weather.
Following Friday’s heavy snowfall Council staff have worked around the clock to ensure that the road network remains clear for motorists.
However, due to the condition of some side streets and pavements, and as the weather forecast states that the temperature is unlikely to change, the decision has been taken not to collect refuse or recycling on Monday in order to ensure the safety of staff.
Those residents who normally have their waste collected on Monday should not place it outside their homes, but rather keep it until the following week.
All staff will be deployed on salting areas such as residential homes, town centres and emergency calls as well as the constant schedule of gritting throughout the county borough.
