RTC driver arrested for burglary

A serious road traffic collision resulted in the driver and a passenger being arrested for burglary.

Police were called to the one vehicle collision on the eastbound carriageway of the A55 near Britannia Bridge at 5.17am on Friday 12 March.

As a result a front seat passenger was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd with what were described as serious injuries.

The driver of the red Ford Fiesta and a second passenger were subsequently arrested in connection with the theft of milk bottles.

On making further inquiries officers from the Western Roads Policing Unit later discovered that the milk together with a lap top, a Play Station a quantity of cash and a set of keys had been stolen from a property in Bodedern.

Officers from the unit later attended at the scene of the collision and recovered some of the stolen property which had been hidden in some undergrowth.

The rest of the property was later recovered hidden in the damaged vehicle.

Having initially been cautioned, the two men were re-arrested on suspicion of burglary. They were subsequently released on bail pending further inquiries.
