Cardiff Central Library will be hosting free comedy workshops, in conjunction with the Cardiff Comedy Festival, next week for young people aged 14 to 19.

Taking place between July 22 and July 25, the young attendees will have the chance to try out their latest gags, hone their timing and delivery and also have an opportunity to take part a stand up gig on Saturday, July 26.

Cabinet Member for Community Development, Co-operatives and Social Enterprise, Cllr Peter Bradbury said: “This is a great opportunity for young people to try their hand at comedy, whether it’s someone who thinks they are funny and is trying stand up for the first time or someone with some experience under their belt already.

“The workshops and the gig demonstrate the versatility of Central Library as a venue for hosting events and activities that appeal to a wide range of people.”

Anyone interested in attending the workshops should email [email protected] to reserve a place.
