Temporary closure for Clydach library

A Swansea community library has been temporarily closed.

Maintenance works affecting the library at High Street in Clydach mean the facility is now shut to the public until further notice but it’s estimated the matter will be resolved within days.

Other libraries across the city including the facilities at Morriston and Llansamlet remain open as normal.

Any fines that may apply during Clydach library’s closure will be waived.

Books currently on loan from the library can be renewed by calling Morriston library on 01792 516700. People can also call the Swansea Library Line on 01792 636464.

A Swansea Council spokesperson said: “We apologise for any inconvenience the temporary closure of Clydach library may cause but the maintenance works have to be undertaken. Every effort is being made to rectify the situation as soon as possible.

“We’d urge anyone with questions or queries to call our dedicated Swansea Library Line.

“Further updates about the reopening of Clydach Library will be made when available.”
