Two More Men Arrested in Connection with Robbery in Sebastopol

Two more men – both aged 21 and both from the Newport area -have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a firearm following a robbery that occurred at an address in Sebastopol on Friday December 10th, 2010.

The 22 year old man arrested yesterday (Wednesday December 15th) remains in police custody at this time.

Residents of an address in Waterloo Court were disturbed by a knock at the door at approximately 9.25pm. When the male occupant went to answer it, three men pushed their way passed him and demanded money. The three men got away with a sum of cash.

The three men are described as in their late teens/ early twenties.

All three men were wearing balaclavas disguising their faces. The shortest of the three men is described as mixed race, he was  wearing a grey hooded top with a blue stripe on it. Another one of the men is described as six feet two inches tall, with broad shoulders and was wearing black clothing. A third man was described as six feet tall, wearing a black hooded top and blue cotton jogging bottoms.
All three men were carrying what was believed to be handguns. The three ran off in the direction of Station road where they got into a small, light coloured, hatchback type vehicle and then made off towards the Cwmbran area.

No one was injured during the incident, although the occupants – a male, female and a child – were shaken.
