Wrexham’s MP Ian Lucas has praised hardworking volunteers who help out at the town’s hospital.
Mr Lucas helped launch a sponsored walk for Wrexham Hospital League of Friends recently. The walk, at Erddig, was joined by dozens of supporters and helped raised funds towards the running of the group.
Mr Lucas said:
“Launching the Sponsored Walk was an honour. There are all kinds of community groups such as the League in and around Wrexham, and it is the hard work that they and their volunteers do which forms the backbone of our community.
“Everyone who came along on the day had a great time and they should all be proud of themselves.”
