The latest edition of Flintshire County Council’s newsletter Your Community, Your Council is being delivered to homes and businesses across the county.
In this 16 page, bilingual colour publication, we invite residents to nominate their sporting heroes for this year’s Flintshire Sports Personality of the Year, and also encourage people to get involved with Flintshire’s cultural Olympiad event – Cauldrons and Furnaces – which takes place at Flint Castle on Saturday 23 June 2012. There are also articles about the latest on the Council’s leisure centre developments, and the full programme for this year’s Flintshire Business Week, which runs from 11 – 19 October.
This edition also includes a useful ‘Your County Councillor’ pullout.
Chief Executive, Colin Everett, said:
“We always keep our civic publication, Your Community Your Council, topical, and it receives good feedback for being informative, interesting and easy to read. In this particular edition, we are welcoming residents’ views on our ten Council priorities. Details can be found within the publication, and also by visiting our website – www.flintshire.gov.uk/priorities.”
Leader of the Council, Councillor Arnold Woolley, said:
“It’s important that we keep residents and businesses informed about the services we provide, and the manner in which we prioritise them. This edition of the Council newsletter also includes an article for those aged 50 plus, inviting them to let us know their views. As the deputy spokesman for people over 50 in Wales, this is a subject close to my heart. Details about how to get in touch can be found within the publication.”
